Frequently Asked Questions

What services do you offer?

I offer in-person and virtual birth support, 1:1 private birth prep sessions, lactation guidance, and postpartum planning. My goal is to help you feel informed, confident, and supported—wherever you are in your pregnancy or parenting journey.

Do you attend births in person?

Yes! I offer in-person birth doula support in Connecticut and parts of New York. I take a limited number of clients per month to ensure personalized care.

What if I don’t want or can’t afford in-person doula?

That’s exactly why I created my virtual support packages. Whether you're planning a hospital birth or homebirth, you can still receive full-spectrum, expert guidance—birth prep, registry help, postpartum planning, lactation support, and more—without the cost of in-person care.

What’s included in the virtual birth prep & support packages?

Depending on the package, you'll get:

  • Personalized and 1:1 birth education sessions

  • Messaging access to me for ongoing questions

  • Postpartum and feeding prep + education

  • Registry planning help

  • And a whole lot of encouragement.

Full details are listed here on my virtual services page.

Can I book just one session?

Yes! You can book a single 60-minute private session focused on birth prep, early labor plans, postpartum healing, or anything you’re navigating. It’s a great option if you want clarity without committing to ongoing support.

Do you work with first-time parents?

Absolutely. Many of my clients are first-time moms looking to make proactive, informed choices in their care. I also support experienced parents who want a different outcome than their last birth.

What’s your approach to birth?

I'm here to support your birth—no agenda, no judgment. My role is to educate, guide, and advocate so you can make decisions from a place of power and clarity. Whether you want an unmedicated homebirth or a planned epidural in the hospital, you deserve informed support.

Do you accept HUSKY insurance for doula or lactation services?

At this time, Connecticut’s HUSKY doula coverage program has not been fully implemented, and no independent or agency doulas are being reimbursed through this program yet. Like many in our field, I’m closely following developments and will update my policies as soon as this changes. In the meantime, services are private pay.

How do we pay you?

I accept payment through all major processors, including Stripe, PayPal, and most major Buy Now, Pay Later servicers. You’ll receive a secure payment link when booking, and you can choose the option that works best for you.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. I offer flexible payment plans for all of my services—virtual and in-person. Whether you’re planning ahead or need to break up a last-minute fee, we’ll find a plan that works for you.

What if your rates feel out of reach for my budget?

Please don’t hesitate to reach out. I do my best to work with families navigating financial constraints, and I have multiple options available to help make support more accessible. In some cases, I can connect eligible clients to organizations that subsidize doula or lactation services based on specific criteria like location or ethnicity. These programs take time to process, so the sooner you reach out, the more likely we can make something work.

Are you able to provide receipts for reimbursement?

Yes. Many clients use their HSA/FSA or submit superbills for partial reimbursement from their insurance provider. I’m happy to provide documentation upon request.
